The mascot of Pokemon can be yours for just 2222, or if you wait a bit and go catch one in Viridian Forest. There's not much to be said about this Pokemon - though unless you get Pichu from your second egg, this is the earliest you can get the Electric-type mouse. #137 Porygon: 5555 Coins Exclusive to the slots, Porygon is very expensive. It's a bit late, but use the Pokemon/item duplication glitch instead of farming the E4. Give 5 team members a Nugget to hold, put all of them in the box at once, perform the glitch and boom, you got 5 additional nuggets.
The Basics
You'll need a Coin Case, to be found in the Goldenrod Underground. At the main desk in Game Corner (in the top left corner) you can buy 50 coins for 1000P or 500 for 10,000P.
Slots and Games
Gold and Silver have two games now. The first is the basic slots game from Red and Blue: insert however many coins you want (1, 2 or 3, which add more rows on the slots where you can win prizes) and try and line up the same picture.
Slots Prize Table:
Three 7's: 300 coins
Three Poké Balls: 50 coins
Three Staryu: 15 coins
Three Squirtle: 10 coins
Three Pikachu: 8 coins
Three cherries: 6 coins
Getting one or two 7's seems to affect the game a little; you might see other Pokemon pop up from time to time to tip the balance of the game if you manage to pull off a 7...
The second game is Card Flip. New to the franchise, Card Flip allows you to pick one or several cards, place a bet on the winning card, and try to win. The less cards you pick the higher the yielding prize.

TMs
Pokemon Platinum Slot Machine
TM14 Blizzard: 5500 Coins
An frosty blast of Ice-type damage is what you'll get using Blizzard. It's useful against the eighth Gym Leader and the Champion though it has low accuracy so watch out. Blizzard has a modest chance of freezing the opponent.
TM25 Thunder: 5500 Coins
This peal of electrical power will shock the living daylights out of certain Pokemon on Chuck and Pryce's respective teams. To add to the fear factor, Thunder will never miss when it's raining. It also might paralyze the target.
TM38 Fire Blast: 5500 Coins
A decently accurate and extremely powerful Fire-type move, Fire Blast will be immensively helpful in your fights against Jasmine and Pryce. It has a good shot at burning the target.
Pokemon
#063 Abra: 200 Coins
Makes catching this little Psychic-type a heck of a lot easier now that he can't escape with Teleport. Evolves into a Pokemon with one of the best Special Attack stats in the game (albeit reaching his last form via trade). If you do use him, your fights against Morty and Chuck might become a lot easier.
#104 Cubone: 800 Coins.
A neat addition to your team can be the elusive Ground-type Cubone for just 800 coins. Its Defenses will be a good asset against Whitney, Morty, and Chuck, and its STAB attacks will be great for the fight against Morty and Pryce.
#202 Wobbuffet: 1500 Coins.
An interesting Psychic-type that plays differently than any other Pokemon in the game. Huge HP stat means it can take any hit then pay back for double with Counter and Mirror Coat.

TMs
TM32 Double Team: 1500 Coins
Boosts evasion to make the foe's moves miss. This works great both ingame and competitively, though watch out: you may lose all your friends if you try it on them.
TM29 Psychic: 3500 Coins
The most powerful Psychic-type move in the game. It has raw strength behind it and is great for dealing with pesky Fighting-type and Poison-type Pokemon like Hitmontop and Gengar.
TM15 Hyper Beam: 7500 Coins
A very powerful Normal-type move. 150 Base Power, but forces you to recharge after using. Attach it to a fast Pokemon with great Attack power (like Entei) and go hog wild.
Pokemon
#025 Pikachu: 2222 Coins
The mascot of Pokemon can be yours for just 2222, or if you wait a bit and go catch one in Viridian Forest. There's not much to be said about this Pokemon - though unless you get Pichu from your second egg, this is the earliest you can get the Electric-type mouse.
#137 Porygon: 5555 Coins
Exclusive to the slots, Porygon is very expensive. If you're looking for a strong battler, it's not going to be Porygon, though it has a fun novelty to it you could try and make work with its neat movepool. Get the Upgrade though from Silph Co. and you can have some interesting battles using Porygon2.
#246 Larvitar: 8888 Coins
This is your only chance to get the plucky Rock/Ground-type before you can go to Mt. Silver. If you want to raise it to Level 55 before that you will have its mighty final stage Tyranitar, one of the few Dark-types, at your disposal for the match against Red.
It's a great time to return to the Johto region with therelease of Pokémon Crystal on theNintendo 3DS Virtual Console. Not onlycan you have another fun adventure, but you'll also be able to transfer yourfavorite Pokémon from Pokémon CrystalintoPokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moonusing Pokémon Bank (and Poké Transporter).
Many Pokémon you can catch in the wild in Pokémon Crystal can't be found in theAlola region. And each Pokémon you transfer from Pokémon Crystal will have their Hidden Abilities once you transferthem to Pokémon Bank, allowing you toobtain Pokémon with rare Abilities more easily.
Take a look at some exciting Pokémon you can catch in Pokémon Crystal and transfer to Alola tobolster your collection. But remember that once you transfer a Pokémon from Pokémon Crystal to Pokémon Bank, you won't be able to send it back to Pokémon Crystal ever again. Make surethat you won't need the Pokémon you transfer to help you with your adventuresin Johto and Kanto any longer before you transfer them.

Iconic Allies
Few Pokémon are more sought after than the three first partnerPokémon that join Trainers at the beginning of their journeys. Chikorita,Cyndaquil, Totodile, and their Evolutions aren't ordinarily available in Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon, but you can transferthem over from Pokémon Crystal via Pokémon Bank. Each of these Pokémon havepowerful Hidden Abilities, such as Feraligatr's Sheer Force. Be careful not to transfersuch key Pokémon too soon. We'd suggest finishing your adventures in Johto before transferring your beloved partnerto Alola!
Hatch a Pal
One of the most treasured Pokémon originally discovered inthe Johto region is little Togepi. Surprisingly classified as the Spike BallPokémon, Togepi can't ordinarily be obtained in Pokémon Ultra Sun or PokémonUltra Moon. You won't have to journey too far through Johto to encounter Togepiin Pokémon Crystal: just hatch theEgg you receive from Professor Elm's assistant in Violet City's Pokémon Center. You can help Togepi evolve into Togetic in PokémonCrystal, but you'll need to transfer it to Alola before it'll be able toreach its final stage—Togekiss.
Legendary Encounters
Five Legendary Pokémon are available to you in Pokémon Crystal: Lugia, Ho-Oh, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. Each has a powerful Hidden Ability that Pokémon of the samespecies caught in Ultra Space will never have. Lugia's Multiscale, Ho-Oh'sRegenerator, and the others' Hidden Abilities all provide significant potencyin battle.
Transferring these Pokémon from Pokémon Crystal could be the key to finishing your collection. Enteiand Lugia can't be found in Pokémon UltraSun, while Raikou and Ho-Oh are unavailable in Pokémon Ultra Moon. With your horde of Legendary Pokémon in tow,you can also try to catch a second Suicune in Ultra Space—an encounter thatwill only occur if you have an Entei and a Raikou in your party.
It's Finally Time
If you're looking for rare Pokémon to add to yourcollection, it's tough to top the Mythical Pokémon Celebi. Trainers will beable to team up with Celebi in the Johto region itself for the first time—unlikeeven the Virtual Console releases of PokémonGold or Pokémon Silver. MythicalPokémon can't normally be found in the wild, so don't miss this specialopportunity.
After you enter the Hall of Fame, you may receive the GSBall during your adventures. Perhaps this item is key to tracking down Celebi...
Because It's Red
When it comes to prestigious Pokémon among fans, it's hardto top the Shiny Gyarados that can be found at the Lake of Rage. (You mayrecall that encountering it was one of our 10can't-miss activities from the Johto region.)Trying to track down a Shiny Gyarados in PokémonUltra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moonwould prove to be a long and difficult endeavor, but Pokémon Crystal's Lake of Rage is much more accessible. Make sureyou add this rare Pokémon to your collection.
Pokédex Progress
Plenty of Pokémon commonly found in Pokémon Crystal aren't found in the wild in Alola, such as Hoppip, Nidoran♂, Nidoran♀, Oddish, and Sentret. Stayvigilant for many of Johto's more eccentric Pokémon—Donphan, Girafarig,Qwilfish, Shuckle, Sunflora, Ursaring, and Wobbuffet are all among Johto's mostmemorable Pokémon, and none are available in Alola. Take care to explore Mt.Mortar and add Tyrogue to your team—it and its branching Evolutions are allabsent from Alola, too.
Know the Unown
The mysterious Unown can't be captured in Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon, and that can put abig hole in your collection if you're really looking to catch 'em all. EachUnown represents a different letter or symbol, and there have been 28 differentUnown discovered in all. You'll be able to capture the 26 variations of Unown representingletters of the Latin alphabet in PokémonCrystal by solving the four puzzles in the Ruins of Alph. The remainingUnown—one resembling an exclamation point and the other a question mark—weren'tdiscovered until Trainers tackled the Tanoby Chambers in Pokémon Fire Red and PokémonLeaf Green's Sevii Islands.
Helpful Hidden Abilities
Many Pokémon become more effective in battle when they havetheir Hidden Abilities. It can be strenuous to track down Pokémonwith Hidden Abilities through SOS battles in the usually laid-back Alola. You'llprobably finding catching some of them in PokémonCrystal instead to be much less taxing. (Remember that all Pokémontransferred from Virtual Console titles will have their Hidden Abilities.)
There's a few Pokémon we'd suggest going out of your way totrack down. Keep an eye out for Natu and Xatu for the Magic Bounce Ability,Piloswine and Swinub to net a Mamoswine with the Thick Fat Ability, andPolitoed for its Drizzle Ability. Catch Snorlax for its Gluttony Ability—you'llneed to battle it to stop it from blocking your path through battle once again, anyway. And you may even want to evolve your Tyrogue into Hitmonlee so that youcan obtain its powerful Hidden Ability—Unburden.

Pokemon Center Online Slot Machine
The Pokémon you transfer from Pokémon Crystal will maintain their learned moves after beingtransferred to Pokémon Bank. You cantrain some unique Pokémon by teaching them moves using TMs in Pokémon Crystal that can't be taught byTMs in modern titles. You can even teach some Pokémon moves that members oftheir species native to Alola can never learn. For instance, Alola's TM07teaches Hail. But in Johto, you'll find TM07 teaches Zap Cannon instead, andit's compatible with Gengar, Pikachu, Raikou, and many other Pokémon that canno longer learn Zap Cannon in Alola.
Keep an eye out for similarly altered TMs like TM01 for DynamicPunch, TM03 for Curse, TM23 for Iron Tail, and TM33 for Ice Punch. Remember toteach your Pokémon these moves beforeyou transfer them, because you can't bring items to Pokémon Bank.
Kanto Classics
The Alola region is renowned for having Pokémon that haveadapted to its unique environment by becoming regional variants that lookdifferent from the same species in other regions. If you've only played Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon UltraSun, and Pokémon Ultra Moon, you'll have no way to acquire the previously known variations of these Pokémonon your own. With Pokémon Crystal, you can add the forms from Kanto for Pokémon like Diglett, Exeggutor, Meowth, andMuk to your collection.
